Today while I was perusing Pinterest, I came across a picture of the all new “Caviar Manicure”.
I still haven’t had a chance to play around with the magnetic nail polish I came across, but the caviar manicure pequed my interest.
So I did a little homework.
Contrary to the fancy name, the polish is not made with actual caviar. Which may sound obvious, but I had to check because after Lady Gaga wore a meat dress, I think we can agree – anything is possible.
The makers of this nail polish are UK based company called Ciate. The polish is currently SOLD OUT on the official Ciate website.
I couldn’t find any info about it being offered anywhere here in US, however I did find tons of polish blogs mentioning how easy (and less expensive) it is to create this look on your own by just heading to your local craft store and picking up some scrapbooking microbeads, like the Martha Stewart Luster Metallic Microbeads below-
This 12 pack retails for about $13 and you can mix and match them to your liking.
Sounds like a good deal to me.
I think this new nail polish style is fun for a night out, my concern would be having the beads popping off every day, everywhere.
What are your thoughts on the caviar manicure?

Loving the whole caviar manicure look. Think I might try my hand at making my own polish too!
I'm kind of liking it too. I'm thinking either champaign color or the black ones pictured.
