And Then There Was The Time I Took A Selfie At The Orange Is The New Black Prison

Are you guys watching Orange Is The New Black? I literally ask this to nearly everyone I meet, so its only fair I ask here.  My obsession is borderline obnoxious.  I’m a total fan-girl.

(Hello? I persuaded our kids to name our puppy, Piper– for real.)

I got hooked on the series while I was in my last days of pregnancy and laid up on the recliner. My sister and I binge watched the whole series in 3 days while the kids were at school.

When we were done with the Season 1 finale, we scoured the web to find how much longer we had to wait for season 2. Sadly, our searches came up empty.

Then in December, I was invited to visit the set while they were filming season 2 and I jumped at the opportunity. For sure, I’d find out how when Season 2 would be released… But everyone remained tight lipped.

We had a Q&A session with Matt McGorry (Bennett) and Dascha Polanco (Daya)– who by the way? Crazy down to earth! All celebs should be so friendly and candid…. Still, no clues to when Season 2 would premier.

We toured the incredibly detailed prison set. Seriously, next time you watch look at the details that are added to make the prison look real- right down to the posters hanging on the wall, its amazing.

Unfortunately, we were not able to take many pictures incase there were “spoiler-clues” lying around… but I did get to take a selfie in the bathroom (which by the way, seemed way dirtier than it looked in season 1), which I of course Instagramed because we all know if it is not on Instagram, it didn’t happen– ha!

And then this month, Netflix announced the news we have all been waiting for…..

Orange Is The New Black, Season 2  – Available June 6!

Now the big question is, to Binge-watch it … or to try and watch one (or two?) a week?

Hmph. Decisions, decisions.
