Changing The Conversation Around Formula Feeding

This year, I joined forces with Similac to help give a voice to the large number of Moms (like myself) who formula feed their babies, either through necessity or by choice.

I shared our story and my passion for supporting ALL Moms and the feeding choices they make for their babies because I whole-heartedly believe we are all just doing the best we can.

The conversation of bottle vs. breast feeding is often a hot topic that can at times be riddled with guilt and judgement, and it really does not have to be.

I chose to work with Similac not only because we have used their formula but because when I met with them back in May, I was impressed with their message of supporting both formula and breast feeding alike.

There is a misperception that formula companies are trying to sway Moms from breastfeeding when that could not be further from the truth. Similac provides breastfeeding tips and advice as well as produce a special formula for Moms who chose to supplement their breastfeeding.

It’s not about one or the other. It’s about feeding our babies- period. the. end– and having a reliable brand to support our choices either way.

As a proud Mom of three, it has been a true honor to have partnered with a brand that has been feeding millions of babies for nearly 90 years and will continue to do so for many years to come.

I hope that through this partnership, I possibly comforted someone struggling with the un-necessary guilt that can sometimes come with the choice to formula feed and perhaps even in some small way changed the conversation and judgements around feeding our newborns.
