Mix, Match And Layering Cabi’s 2018 Fall Line

It is no secret that warm sun and sunshine fuels me. I’ve talked about my struggles with the winters here on the east coast numerous times and how summer year round would be a-ok in my book– but what I am about to say next may come as a bit of a shock.

Fall is kinda my favorite. (Gah! I know. I know. That may sound totally contradictory, but it’s true.)

This past weekend I was invited to the Cabi showroom in NYC to preview their new fall line which included everything from cute business styles to buttery soft sweaters.

Perusing Cabi’s racks of rich colors, layering pieces and plaid prints, made me realize that if we are ever #Blessed enough to ever find ourselves living in a place of year round summer– I would undoubtably miss things like fall foliage, warming up with hot apple cider, and browsing my closet for the perfect chunky sweater on a crisp, cool fall morning.

One of the things I love to do with clothes particularly in the fall is layering & seeing how many different ways I can wear things. What I love about Cabi’s line most is that because their styles are so versatile they’re super easy to layer and dress up or down– which makes them great pieces for women across all ages and stages– and also helpful when it comes to stretching your wardrobe.

The moment I saw the prep pullover sweater (above) held up next to the leopard print flutter blouse, I instantly fell in love with the idea of layering them! Crop tops are a big trend but always feel like a bit of a gamble when you (like I) have curves– but this is a great way to wear the crop top trend without it being revealing and it’s also a great way to accentuate your waist.

What’s more– the leopard print blouse underneath the black cropped sweater is actually 2 layers in itself! The bottom layer is a classic camisole style top attached with small snaps, so you can wear it layered under the fluttery ruffle blouse or just as a classic cami–talk about the perfect layering piece!

Below are a few more of my favorite pieces from Cabi’s 2018 Fall line [ full look book here ] as well as some of the ways I thought would be fun to mix and match them all season long.
