Once upon a time, whenever we thought about cute, sexy swimsuits we automatically thought of bikinis. Hard stop. The end. Bikinis were our only chance at looking cute by pool or on the beach.
As the years went on though, some of us Mamas began to develop a love-hate relationship with them. Our bodies changed. Feeling self-conscious and uncomfortable, readjusting a 2 piece while chasing around small people by the water just didn’t sound like a good time. But what were we to do?
Wear a… one-piece?? gasp!!!
One pieces were what our mothers wore. Surrendering to wearing a one-piece swimsuit aged us, made us look frumpy – made us feel all the things we knew we weren’t… aren’t.
But then things changed.
The fashion-Gods shined down on us and over the past few summers one-piece swimsuits suddenly became cute, trendy and dare I say… sexy!

And while swimsuit shopping, in general, might always feel like a little bit of a dreaded challenge, we can take comfort in knowing that hunting down a one-piece style (that we actually want to wear) is no longer an impossible task.
Last fall I published a post here that included 2 reallly cute one-piece swimsuits I snagged on Amazon just a week before my trip to Jamaica. Since posting it, it has become one of my most popular posts. And now that summer is here, I’m asked about cute one-piece bathing suits all.the.time. So I decided to dedicate an entire post to share even more cute mom swimsuit styles available this season.
Because I believe in both splurging when you can on a great swimsuit that will last you seasons and make you feel like a celeb, and also finding a killer deal on a great trendy swimsuit that is flattering and within budget, I am including a healthy mix of both. I must say though– for almost every “splurge” style I found, I found an almost identical, more affordable version– so definitely do your research if you fall in love with a super pricey style.

I. love. ruffles! They are so cute and add a level of playfulness to otherwise boring suits. But the black suit below has more than just ruffles – just check out that beautiful back. This suit is on ASOS for less than $30.

Have fun with your swimsuits and choose a floral or plain print with a deep v-neck and ruffles. A darker bottom is slimming and will make you feel so confident. They are under $30 on Amazon.

Mesh is super sexy because it gives the illusion of showing skin without actually showing it. The one-shoulder style below is really popular and you can find it on Amazon. They also offer it with tummy control fabric too.

I love having fun with the back of swimsuits and this one is perfect. I love the two straps along the lower back. You can find it at Nordstrom.
